Medallion Pipeline Launches Binding Open Season – Midkiff Lateral Pipeline/Wolfcamp Connector Expansion
Medallion Pipeline Company, LLC (“Medallion”), a subsidiary of Medallion Midstream LLC, today announced a binding open season to solicit long-term commitments from shippers for capacity on two projects that will substantially extend and expand its existing crude oil pipeline system’s geographic scope:
- The Midkiff Lateral is a proposed 75,000 barrel per day, 12-inch diameter crude oil pipeline extending approximately 40 miles westward from Medallion’s existing Garden City Station to production areas in Upton, Midland, and Glasscock, Counties.
- The Wolfcamp Connector Expansion is a proposed 30,000 barrel per day (or more, depending upon shipper commitments) expansion of Medallion’s existing 12 inch diameter Wolfcamp Connector mainline, which originates at the Garden City Station in Glasscock County and extends approximately 60 miles north to the Colorado City hub in Scurry County, Texas.
Medallion is conducting the binding Open Season to obtain long-term volume commitments for the Midkiff Lateral and Wolfcamp Expansion. The Open Season provides an opportunity for interested shippers to acquire long term firm capacity, under minimum 10-year term transportation service agreements as a Committed Firm Shipper on either project or both. The Midkiff Lateral and Wolfcamp Expansion are expected to be in service in the first quarter of 2015.
Open Season Process
The Open Season began on Thursday, November 6, 2014 and ends on Monday, December 1, 2014. All bids must be submitted to Medallion by 5:00 pm Central Standard Time on or before December 1, 2014
